Reflexology
is a unique method of applying pressure with the fingers and thumbs on points
called reflexes. It is usually carried out on the feet, but hands can also be
used as well as points on the body.
I have been practising Reflexology since 1989 and have been awarded a Fellowship by the Association of Reflexologists for my work in promoting this wonderful therapy. Having represented various professional organisations at National Health shows I have seen and heard many stories of how this balancing and relaxing treatment can aid many problems. I also teach it and have presented many courses and workshops on different aspects of it.

WHY REFLEXOLOGY?
It is a
complementary therapy which works on the feet and hands to help heal the whole
person, not just the prevailing symptoms. Reflexology is suitable for all ages
and is suitable for a wide range of acute or chronic conditions.
I have
experience of using reflexology for a wide range of conditions including
anxiety, depression, addiction, asthma, eczema, digestive problems, hormonal
imbalances, diabetes, pregnancy, pallative care, arthritis, ME, MS, aches/pains
and mobility, tension, stress, backpain, strokes, pain relief and relaxation.
Reflexology
is effective and appropriate for newborns to help ease them into life as well
as for terminally ill in helping them pass more peacefully. As it helps to
bring a sense of balance and inner comfort. A true soul to sole experience.

meridians can be used to access and calm energy pathways.

include, but are not limited to:
Relief of
Stress and Tension Improving Blood Supply Unblocking Nerve Pathways Helping the Body to heal itself and achieve balance at all levels
Following a
full consultation and discussion of expectations, the shoes and socks are
removed. After cleansing the feet, oil or powder may be applied whilst the
client relaxes on a reclined chair or massage couch. The feet are studied,
relaxed and then a general treatment will be given. A relaxing finish will
leave you feeling calm and centred. A period of rest and drinking water is suggested to allow the
healing processes to continue and toxins to be flushed from the body.
A treatment
takes about 1 hour and can be clinical or just purely relaxing, used to boost
immunity and prevent health problems, as well as often helping alleviate
symptoms of specific ailments. Aftercare advice will be given to further
benefit the results of a session.
Reflexology
is widely used in hospitals to aid in reproductive, operative and palliative
care situations. It has been researched and found to be helpful in many
conditions especially pregnancy, asthma, back pain, cancer treatments and MS.
